Jason Momoa has been cast as Aquaman in the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” a sequel to 2013’s “Man of Steel.”
The Hawaiian-born actor took on the role of Conan in 2011’s “Conan the Barbarian” but is most known for his short gig as Khal Drogo in the first season of “Game of Thrones.”
While Momoa doesn’t sport the light skin or blonde locks as the underwater-dwelling superhero, he does have the physique to take on the part. He’s been in the rumor mill for quite some time now and according to director Zack Snyder, he has the image for him already designed, so they can start shooting the film soon.
Momoa joins the already controversial cast including Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Clark Kent/Superman.
