Interstellar is an interesting movie. It is ambitious, gorgeous, sometimes too loud, and a little too long.
It stars Matthew McConaughey as a farmer (and former pilot) during a worldwide food shortage who is tasked with taking a team into space to find somewhere for the Earth to evacuate to. This topic, overpopulation and food shortages and the fact that we will one day need to escape, is one I find fascinating. However, this movie goes further, delving into black holes, fifth dimensional thinking, and time displacement to make something thought-provoking and occasionally beautiful, while also being exciting and entertaining.
