15 Cartoons From Artists Responding to Paris Shooting

Cartoonists from all over the world denounce Islamic extremism

Cartoonists from around the world are publicly denouncing Islamic extremism after militants killed as many as 12 people in Paris yesterday, including several Charlie Hebdo artists.

Attacks on free speech will only encourage us to speak louder.

“Unstoppable Charlie Hebdo.”

“No Freedom without freedom of press.”

“Grab your weapons mates.”

“Ducks [slang for newspaper] will always fly higher than guns.”

“I am Charlie.”

“Today, I am a press cartoonist. Today, I am a journalist. Today, I draw for Charlie Hebdo.”

“The world has become so serious that humor is a risky profession.”

“My heart is with Charlie Hebdo.”
