New ‘Planet of the Apes’ movie to be made in B.C.

Pop Goes The News — Cameras will roll in B.C. later this year on the third movie in the rebooted Planet of the Apes franchise.

War of the Planet of the Apes follows last year’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Those two films — which were partly made in B.C. — grossed a combined $1.2 billion worldwide.
