Good morning, everyone. Following yesterday’s post, I decided to revisit another film that I briefly saw once but, ultimately, forgot. All I really remembered from my first watch of The Hurt Locker was that everyone was just sweating and yelling the whole time. Other than that, it failed to stick in my noggin. Which is strange because I’m usually pretty good about remembering award winners as it swept most of the major categories at the 2010 Oscars. It won Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, made director Kathryn Bigelow the first woman to win the Best Director award (she also directed one of my all time favorites, Point Break, so that win shouldn’t really be a surprise at all), and won a few others so it cleaned up pretty nicely.
